Amie Newman (She/Her)

Amie Newman has a diverse and extensive work experience in communications and writing roles. Amie is currently serving as the Head of Communications at JFS Seattle. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Communications at Amara, a nonprofit organization focused on positive outcomes for children in foster care. Amie also worked as a Writer for Our Bodies Ourselves and as a Communications Expert + Writer for Social Change at Amie Newman Consulting. Additionally, Amie has experience as a Communications Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and as a Managing Editor of the reproductive rights and health publication RH Reality Check at the United Nations Foundation. Earlier in their career, they served as an Associate Editor and Staff Writer at RH Reality Check and as a Communications Manager at Aradia Women's Health Center.
