Todd Merendino has a varied work experience in the field of behavioral health services. Todd is currently working as the Director of Mental Health Services at Jewish Family Services since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Division Director of Acute Services at Aurora Mental Health Center from July 2019 to May 2022. From July 2018 to June 2019, they worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Colorado Community Connection.
Before that, Todd held various positions at the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health. Todd served as the Director of Child, Youth, and Family Services from March 2017 to March 2018, where they supervised the Child, Youth, and Family unit and oversaw various programs within the office. Prior to this role, from February 2015 to March 2017, they served as the Director of Quality Assurance and Standards/Regulatory Oversight. In this position, they managed rule development, supervised the license/designation unit, and served as a liaison for the office with other state agencies.
Todd also held the position of Associate Director of Program Quality and Standards/Regulatory Oversight at the Office of Behavioral Health from February 2012 to March 2015. Todd was responsible for licensure and designation of mental health facilities and provided training and technical assistance to various agencies.
Before joining the Office of Behavioral Health, Todd worked as a Manager of Child/Adolescent Mental Health programs at the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health, and the Division of Behavioral Health. Todd started their career as a Clinical Care Coordinator at Innet Inc. from an unspecified date, but their employment there lasted until 2008.
Overall, Todd Merendino has extensive experience in managing mental health programs, overseeing regulatory compliance, and providing policy interpretation and training in the behavioral health field.
Todd Merendino obtained their Bachelor's degree in Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 1997. Todd then pursued higher education and received an MA and an MSW from the University of Denver in 1999. Prior to that, they attended the Notre Dame International School of Rome from 1982 to 1990.
