Karen Mozenter

Karen Mozenter has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Karen currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Jewish Family Services since June 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at the same organization from May 2017 to June 2019.

Before joining Jewish Family Services, Karen worked as an Independent Consultant to philanthropy, education, and nonprofits from September 2016 to April 2017. Karen also served as the Director of Funder Engagement at Fund for Our Economic Future from December 2012 to September 2016. In this role, they played an instrumental role in fostering collaboration among various philanthropic organizations, education institutions, healthcare systems, corporations, and civic and business collaborations.

Karen's earlier work experiences include serving as a Teacher and Team Leader at The Columbus Academy from an unspecified date in 2003 to 2012. Karen led a team of teachers and actively contributed to various committees focusing on recruitment, policies, and curriculum development.

Karen also worked as an Associate for Legal Affairs at The Ohio State University from 1989 to 1998, where they advised the administration and faculty on technology transfer, research ethics, and copyright issues. Furthermore, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor in Legal Writing at The Ohio State University College of Law in 1994 and as an Associate Attorney at Jones Day from 1986 to 1989.

Karen's career began as a Law Clerk at The Supreme Court of Ohio from 1985 to 1986, and they also worked as an Associate Attorney at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP from 1984 to 1985.

Karen Mozenter holds a J.D. with high honors from Duke University School of Law. Before that, they completed a B.S. with distinction in Communications Studies, with a concentration in Political Science, from Northwestern University.
