Melissa Wolf Starr

Melissa Wolf Starr has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Their most recent role is as the Chief Program Officer at Jewish Family Services, which they started in June 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Strategy and Partnerships at the same organization from July 2019 to June 2021. From July 2018 to July 2019, Melissa was the Director of Workforce Development Services, where they provided grant management and developed community partnerships. Before that, they worked as the Manager of Adult Workforce, overseeing program logistics and grant responsibilities for various organizations. Melissa also has experience as a Community Relations Coordinator & Career Strategist, where they developed career advancement opportunities and coordinated events for young professionals. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Coordinator for Masa Works, assisting post-college participants in their career transitions.

Before joining Jewish Family Services, Melissa worked at Hillel as the Community Recruitment and Retention Coordinator, assisting Ohio State University students with workforce development skills and job placement. Melissa also worked at the Columbus Jewish Federation as a Partnership 2Gether Young Partners Leader, focusing on leadership development and teen relationship building.

Melissa's other work experiences include substitute teaching at Dublin City Schools and South-Western City Schools, as well as volunteering as an English teacher in under-served Israeli public schools through OTZMA (XXIV): Israeli Teacher Corps. Melissa also worked as a Student Office Assistant at the Ohio State Men's Basketball Office during their time as a student.

Melissa Wolf Starr holds a Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University. In 2014, they obtained a certification in the Certified Tourism Ambassador™ (CTA) Program.
