Ariela W.

Ariela W. has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. Ariela began their career in 2010 as a Counselor, Tutor, and Coordinator of Prayer Services at Camp Ramah in California. In 2011, they became a member of the Social/Cultural Committee at Columbia University in the City of New York - Hillel.

In 2013, Ariela worked as a Programs Intern at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles. The following year, they served as a Research and Case Management Intern at L.A. Family Housing, Corp.

From 2011 to 2015, Ariela was involved with Community Impact at Columbia University. Ariela started as a Volunteer for Peace by PEACE, and eventually became a Co-Director of the organization.

In 2015, Ariela held multiple positions simultaneously. Ariela was an Outreach Assistant at The Interfaith Center of New York, a Kenneth Cole Community Action Fellow at Columbia University Center for Career Education, and a Global Jewish Service Corps Fellow at JDC. During their time as a Global Jewish Service Corps Fellow, they planned and executed numerous community events, programs, classes, and activities.

Since 2017, Ariela has been working at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Their roles include Young Adult Event and Program Coordinator, Program Director for NuRoots Experiences, Assistant Director for NuRoots Community Building, and currently, the Director of NuRoots Strategic Partnerships.

Ariela W. attended Milken Community High School from 2007 to 2011. Ariela then went on to Columbia University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from 2011 to 2015. During the same period, they also studied at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) and obtained a second BA degree in Jewish/Judaic Studies and Women and Gender Studies. In 2014, Ariela briefly attended UCL, where they focused on Anthropology, although no degree was specified for this period.
