Derek Canaday

Derek Canaday is an experienced professional with a diverse background in donor services, real estate, freelance writing, and publicity. Currently serving as Donor Services Manager at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles since February 2008, Derek oversees a team that supports fundraising efforts generating $50 million annually, while managing accounts for over 10,000 donors. Prior experience includes working as a Realtor at Coldwell Banker, successfully negotiating transactions up to $2 million, and establishing client relationships in the Los Angeles area. Additionally, Derek's career includes a role as a self-employed freelance writer covering the NHL, a Publicity Coordinator at Restless Records, and an Assistant to the General Manager at Risk Records. Derek holds a BA in Public Communication from American University, earned from 1992 to 1996.
