Jennifer Dekel

Assistant Director, Community Engagement Communications at The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles

Jennifer Dekel's work experience starts in 2003 as a Journalism Intern at Accuracy in Academia. Jennifer then worked as an Assistant Account Executive at Schwartzman & Associates from 2006 to 2007. In 2008, they were a Research Intern at The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. From 2007 to 2012, Jennifer was a Senior Research Analyst at SAE, where they collected and analyzed open source intelligence on terrorism. In 2012, they became a News Desk Analyst at CEB. Jennifer joined the Endowment for Middle East Truth in 2013 as a Foreign Policy Analyst before becoming the Director of Research & Communications from 2014 to 2019. Jennifer then worked at Miller Ink as an Account Executive and later an Account Supervisor, specializing in the nonprofit division. From 2022 to 2023, Jennifer worked as a Marketing Communications Consultant before joining The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles as the Assistant Director of Community Engagement Communications in 2023.

Jennifer Dekel attended UCLA from 1999 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Political Science. Jennifer later pursued a Master's degree in International Relations, which they obtained from American University between 2007 and 2009. In addition, Jennifer participated in a study abroad program at Tel Aviv University from 2001 to 2002, focusing on International Security and the Middle East.
