Risa Goldstein has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Risa began their career at Harlequin/Silhouette Books as an Associate Editor, where they evaluated, acquired, and edited mass-market fiction. Risa then moved on to Daniel Weiss Associates, Inc., where they worked as an Editor, evaluating and editing middle-grade and young-adult fiction. Risa later joined Bennett Book Advertising as a Senior Account Executive, managing top trade publishing accounts and overseeing advertising campaigns. Risa then transitioned to Bookspan as a Copywriter, writing promotional copy for national bestselling books. Risa's next role was with Adat Ari El Synagogue, where they volunteered and held various positions, including Chairperson for the Day School Accreditation and Parent Association President. Most recently, Risa served as the Vice President of Early Childhood Engagement at The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, overseeing programs like PJ Library and PJ Our Way, developing engagement strategies, managing budgets, and working closely with community partners.

Risa Goldstein earned an Executive Masters of Jewish Professional Studies from Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature from Stony Brook University. Risa completed their high school education at the High School of Performing Arts, focusing on their major in Dance.
