Richard Goedeken

Richard Goedeken has over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting. Richard most recently served as the Senior Director of Finance at the Jewish Federation of Omaha, where they researched and obtained SBA Payroll Protection Program loans and CARES Act grants. Prior to this, Richard held the position of Director of Finance and Accounting/Controller at the same organization, where they managed all finance functions and prepared financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Richard also worked as an Accounting Manager, where they motivated and directed accounting staff and implemented improvements to accounting and financial processes. Before joining the Jewish Federation of Omaha, Richard worked at US Bank as a Trust Operations Supervisor, where they supervised staff and implemented work sharing procedures to improve efficiency. Richard also worked at the USAF as a PFMP Manager, where they activated and managed the Personal Financial Management Program. Earlier in their career, Richard worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Frazer and Swanson, CPAs and Larry W Andersen, CPA, where they compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements and supervised bookkeepers.

Richard Goedeken obtained their education as follows:

Richard began their educational journey at Platte Technical Community College from 1975 to 1977, where they earned an Associates degree in Business. Following that, from 1977 to 1979, they attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and achieved a BSBA degree in Accounting. Continuing their studies, they pursued an MBA degree in Business at the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 1993 to 1998.

In addition to their degrees, they obtained several certifications. In March 1980, Richard Goedeken became a Certified Public Accountant through the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy. More recently, in November 2018, they also acquired the CHFP certification from HFMA (Healthcare Financial Management Association).
