Benita Marcus

Director Of Donor Operations at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington

Benita Marcus has extensive work experience in various roles. Benita started their career at the Federal Election Commission in 1977, where they worked as a Senior Analyst until 1986. Benita then joined Public Citizen in 1990 as a Webmaster, responsible for the design and management of division websites. In this role, they also served on inter-divisional working groups and acted as a Project Manager for major group projects. In 2008, Benita joined the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation as the Senior Director of Operations, where they worked until 2017. Their responsibilities included overseeing operations and managing resources for the organization. Currently, Benita holds the position of Director of Donor Operations at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington since 2017. In this role, they lead the Donor Relations team and is responsible for setting strategic visions and managing donor service activities. Benita is also passionate about leveraging technology for advancing causes.

From 1973 to 1977, Benita Marcus attended the University of Pittsburgh, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
