Gil Preuss is an accomplished leader in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington since August 2017. Prior to this role, Gil held the position of Vice President of Strategy and Planning at Combined Jewish Philanthropies and was the Director for Allocations and Agency Partnerships at the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland from 2002 to 2004. Gil's academic background includes a PhD in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Master of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Additionally, Gil contributed to academia as an Assistant Professor at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University from 1998 to 2003.
