Shira Pomerantz currently serves as a Development Associate in Donor Engagement at The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, having previously held the role of Development Assistant in the same department. Shira is also a Chapter Member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society. Earlier in 2023, Shira worked as an Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Research Assistant at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, focusing on data collection and analysis regarding child abuse trends globally. Shira's leadership experience includes serving as Public Relations Chair for the THEM A Capella group at Tulane University, Director of Lifelong Membership for Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women, and various roles in community service and childcare, including as a Childhood Development Specialist Intern and Summer Camp Counselor. Shira holds degrees from Tulane University and Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
