Harold L. Kaplan (Highland Park, IL) is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is the leader of the firm’s Corporate Trust and Bondholders Rights Team and a member of its Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations Practice. For more than 30 years, Harold has been a leader in the Chicago legal community and Jewish philanthropic community. He is recognized as one of Chambers USA’s “Leaders in their Field” for bankruptcy and, particularly, as one of the leading lawyers in the country representing indenture trustees in major national bond defaults. Harold has served as a committee Chair and in other leadership positions with the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and other organizations. Harold is a President’s Society and Century Council member, served as Co-Chair of JNF’s National Lawyers for Israel, on the JNF National Water Task Force, on the JNF Chicago Board, and as one of the lead gifts towards the building of the JNF Indoor Playground in Sderot.
