Emily Richman has extensive work experience in the non-profit sector, primarily in Jewish philanthropy and fundraising. Emily currently holds the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Development Officer at the Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona. Prior to that, they served as Chief Development Officer at the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona.
Richman's earlier experience includes roles at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, where they held various positions over a span of 13 years. Emily served as the Director of Development Operations, where they led development operations and managed the organization's major fundraising campaigns. Emily also held the role of Associate Director, overseeing development operations and managing the annual campaign. Additionally, they were an Assistant Campaign Director and Senior Manager, overseeing campaign staff and managing fundraising efforts for mid-level donors.
Before their work in the non-profit sector, Richman gained experience in promotions and coordination at Clear Channel Communications. Emily served as a Promotions Coordinator, playing a key role in the launch of a radio station and coordinating promotional activities.
Early in their career, Richman interned at the Pittsburgh Federation for Events and Promotions, gaining exposure to event planning and promotions.
Throughout their career, Richman has demonstrated strong leadership skills, fundraising expertise, and a commitment to community engagement in the non-profit sector.
Emily Richman pursued their education from 1994 to 1997 at the University of Florida, where they focused on Public Relations without obtaining a degree. Emily then continued their studies from 1997 to 2000 at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Media Communications. In addition to their formal education, Emily obtained a certification in Inclusive Leadership from LinkedIn in November 2020.
