Akiva Marcus, MD, PhD, currently serves as the Chief of Medicine at both HCA Florida JFK North Hospital and HCA Florida Hospital, with a professional focus on gastroenterology and hepatology at the Digestive Disease Center of the Palm Beaches. Since August 2015, Akiva Marcus has developed expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopy, motility disorders, colorectal cancer screening, chronic liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. Additionally, Akiva Marcus is a co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Amniochor, Inc., which is dedicated to advancing cellular-based therapies through the use of perinatal tissue and stem cells. Akiva Marcus's educational background includes an MD and PhD in Neuroscience and Stem Cell Biology from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, along with completed residencies and fellowship training at notable institutions.
