Vaqas Jawed, CPA

Vaqas Jawed, CPA, has a strong background in audit and financial accounting. Vaqas started their career as an Associate at RSM International in June 2014, where they worked until October 2016. Vaqas then joined EY as an Experienced Associate in November 2016 and was promoted to Senior Associate in December 2018. In these roles, Vaqas examined and analyzed financial records, performed audit planning, and reviewed policies and procedures to ensure effective controls. Vaqas also served as an Audit Manager at EY from October 2020 to October 2021, where they supervised and led audits of public and non-public companies, reviewed financial statements for compliance with accounting standards, and assessed internal controls for SOX audits. Currently, Vaqas is working as a Financial Controller at Echelon Supply and Service starting from October 2021.

Vaqas Jawed, CPA, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce, General, which they obtained from Amity University, Greater Noida Campus, from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their High School education in Business/Commerce, General, at Indian Central School in Kuwait, spanning from 1995 to 2008. In terms of additional certifications, Vaqas obtained the CPA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in February 2021, as well as from the chartered professional accountants of Ontario. Vaqas also holds the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) certification, which they obtained in July 2017, and the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, which they earned in July 2014 from the Certified Management Accountant: CMA® institution.
