Ian Northrop

CEO at JHNA

Ian Northrop has worked in various roles and companies since 1998. Ian started their career as an Intelligence Officer in the US Army and then worked as a Summer Associate at Fidelity Investments. Later, they joined Westpac Bank and BT Financial Group as the Head of Partnership Optimisation. In 2008, they worked at Third Horizon Consulting Partners as a Manager before moving to JHNA in 2010 as the CFO. Ian became the Director, Finance, and Strategy Consulting and then the President from 2016 to 2018. In 2019, they joined the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts as an Associate Board Member. Ian also worked with the Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture as a Board Member and Volunteer from 2014 to 2020. Northrop was a Board Member and Treasurer of the Farmer Veteran Coalition from 2016 to 2018. Recently, they were appointed as the CEO of Technology Security Associates, Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JHNA that specializes in defense contracting systems and software engineering.

Ian Northrop earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1998. The following year, in 1993, they attended Virginia Tech. In 2003, Northrop enrolled at Harvard Business School and graduated in 2005 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. In 2018, they completed the Leading and Building a Culture of Innovation program at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
