Andrew Birtles

Andrew Birtles has extensive experience in housing and community safety, currently serving as a Neighbourhood Enforcement and Safety Officer at Jigsaw Homes Group Ltd since July 2018, following a successful term as team leader of the SWAT team. Prior to this role, Andrew spent 19 years at New Charter Group, initially starting as a Housing Clerk and progressing through various positions including Housing Management Assistant, Housing Management Officer, and SWAT Team Leader. This experience involved addressing serious anti-social behavior (ASB) and managing a range of housing-related issues. Andrew began a career in housing at Tameside Council as a Modern Apprentice, laying the groundwork for subsequent educational achievements in housing studies and leadership. Degrees include HNC in Housing Studies from The University of Salford and participation in talent and leadership programs at New Charter Homes.
