Gianmarco Carmelino

Gianmarco Carmelino has been working in the professional world since 2012. Gianmarco began as an intern in the Neurobiology lab at Florida International University, where they researched the effects of lithium and resveratrol treatments on lab mice predisposed with Alzheimer's disease. Gianmarco also worked as an intern for J. Ruiz-Unger Pediatrics, where they shadowed and followed certain cases while completing assignments and staying up to date on recommended medical journals and child development readings. In 2015, Gianmarco joined LendingClub as a Loan Sales Executive, and later became a Member Support Manager and Senior Operations Manager. Here, they managed a group of customer experience professionals across multiple sites to deliver a unique experience for servicing financial needs. Gianmarco also expanded operations to 4 sites (250+ FTE) and launched servicing through two new channels, social media and chat. In 2019, Gianmarco joined Marqeta, Inc. as a Program Manager, Cardholder Support. Most recently, they joined Jiko as the Director of Operations and Head of Member and Partner Support.

Gianmarco Carmelino obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Biochemistry from Santa Clara University.
