Karen Yee has worked in the field of bioengineering since 2000. Karen began their career as a Research Officer at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, where they were responsible for research planning and execution, coordinating clinical trials, mentoring students, and lab administration. In 2006, they moved to Tokyo Women's Medical University as a Researcher. In 2011, they joined Gunma University as a Researcher. In 2016, they became a Quality Control Analyst at Sun Planet (Eisai subsidiary). Currently, they are Staff Scientist at Jiksak Bioengineering, Inc.
Karen Yee received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biochemistry and Physiology from the National University of Singapore between 1986 and 2000. Karen then attended RMIT University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Masters of Applied Science in Medical Clinical Sciences/Graduate Medical Studies. Finally, they attended Tokyo Women's Medical University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medical Clinical Sciences/Graduate Medical Studies.
