Ashwin Uppal

Ashwin Uppal currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President at Jio since 2022. Prior to this role, Ashwin held several senior marketing positions, including Global Brand Marketing Director at Reckitt (2019 - 2022) and Marketing Head for Hair Colours and Hair Care at Godrej Consumer Products Limited (2015 - 2019), where responsibilities included managing a complex portfolio and leading rural marketing efforts. Ashwin also served as Head of International Innovations at Godrej, driving brand innovations across multiple FMCG categories. Earlier experience includes a tenure at L'Oréal as Head of Modern Trade and Global Innovation Head for Garnier, and Ashwin also led marketing at Baskin Robbins, achieving significant brand recognition in India. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Indian School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Sydenham College.
