Michael Leow

Michael Leow has a diverse work experience. Michael started their career as a System Administrator at Webwork-Solutions Sdn Bhd in 2002 and held this position until 2006. Michael then joined IBM Malaysia as an IT Specialist, where they provided technical support and enablement for IBM Business Partners, focusing on WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Portlet Factory, and Lotus Forms. In 2008, they became the Technical Co-Founder and IT Manager at iCar Asia Limited, where they played a key role in the implementation of their initial site, Carlist.my. Michael also led the integration of acquired companies and developed a regional platform solution. In 2015, they joined Sinar Project as the Freedom of Information Initiatives Lead, where they worked on reforming FOIE in Penang and led the implementation of the FOIE Portal. In 2016, they started working as an Independent Technical Consultant, providing IT solutioning and project management services. Their latest role is as a Backend Dev Lead at Jirnexu, which they started in 2017.

Michael Leow attended Sri Cempaka from 1992 to 1997 and obtained their SPM. Michael then enrolled in Kolej KDU from 1998 to 1999, although the degree name and field of study are not specified. Finally, they attended Purdue University from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Engineering.
