Shantanu Agarwal

Shantanu Agarwal has a diverse work experience. Shantanu started working as a Student Mentor at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), TIFR in 2012. In 2014, they served as a Summer Intern at the University of Bristol and as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Shantanu then worked as a Teaching Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University in 2017. Shantanu joined the University of Iowa in 2016 and held multiple roles including Graduate Teaching Assistant, Instructor, and Seminar and Conference Speaker until 2022. From 2022 to 2023, they worked as a Software Engineer at Cepton, where they researched and implemented ML-based algorithms for 3D point cloud data classification. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at JITX, starting in 2023.

Shantanu Agarwal pursued their education in mathematics, starting in 2011 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Shantanu completed an Integrated M.Sc. degree from there in 2016. Afterward, they continued their academic journey at the University of Iowa, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematics from 2016 to 2022.
