Mary Ellen Coyne

Mary Ellen Coyne joined J.Jill in May 2025 as its Chief Executive Officer and President. She also serves on the Company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining J.Jill, Ms. Coyne served as CEO of J.McLaughlin, successfully revitalizing the brand, driving significant growth, expanding the company’s retail footprint and enhancing its ecommerce capabilities. She has over three decades of executive expertise in the retail sector, having held senior leadership positions at renowned fashion and lifestyle brands like Ralph Lauren, Victoria’s Secret, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor. She began her career in the Macy's Training Program. Ms. Coyne currently sits on the Board of Trustees for The Arch School and Teddy Vonranson and is a member of the Women in Retail Leadership Circle. Ms. Coyne earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola University in Maryland.
