JLA Public Involvement
Brandy Steffen is an experienced professional in public involvement and community engagement, currently serving as the Chief Talent Officer, Senior Program Manager, and Partner at JLA Public Involvement since July 2019. At JLA, Brandy facilitates dialogue between communities and local governments in Oregon and Washington. Previously, Brandy owned Brightside Engagement, where creative communication strategies were developed for clients. Brandy also held the position of Community Affairs Coordinator at the Oregon Department of Transportation, managing public involvement for various infrastructure projects. Early career experience includes working as a Public Involvement Specialist and Transportation Planner at CH2M HILL. Brandy holds a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Portland State University.
