Riya Malhotra

Riya Malhotra is an Associate Project Manager in Sustainability at JLL since June 2025, with experience in energy modeling for LEED projects and developing OpenStudio energy model prototypes. Prior roles include serving as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where Riya supported courses on architectural research methodologies and environmental systems, along with research contributions on energy efficiency projects. Riya's internship as a Data Analyst at Smart Surfaces Coalition involved research on energy savings from smart surfaces. Riya has also held positions at the Environmental Defense Fund as a Climate Corps Fellow and at TERI - The Energy and Resources Institute, where significant projects included leading research on the circular built environment and green building consultancy. Riya holds a Master of Science in Building Performance and Diagnostics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology.
