Abhishek Bhagat

Abhishek Bhagat has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and companies. Abhishek is currently working as the Managing Director of Digital & Technology Investment Banking at JM Financial Ltd since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at HDFC Bank as the Head of Investment Banking for Internet, Tech, Media, and Telecom from October 2016 to April 2021.

Abhishek has also held leadership positions at Elara Capital India, where they served as the Managing Director & Country Head from January 2010 to December 2013. Abhishek worked at YES BANK from April 2004 to January 2010, holding roles such as SVP & Head of Lifesciences & Technology Banking and Assistant Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy.

Earlier in their career, Abhishek gained experience at companies like Chryseum / MagicWorks as the MD / Founder from May 2015 to 2017, Hewlett Packard as a Functional Consultant from April 2001 to March 2004, and Mphasis Software / TCS in Business Development from July 1999 to March 2001.

Additionally, Abhishek has been involved with Venture Catalysts as a member of the Advisory Board since 2015, mentoring startups in scaling-up and business strategy, and investing in various ventures.

Abhishek Bhagat has a Post Graduate in Business Management degree with a specialization in Finance, General from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, which they obtained between 1997 and 1999. Before that, they completed a B.Com (Hons) degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Mathematics, and Statistics from St. Xavier's College from 1994 to 1997.
