Jason McDonald has been working in the marketing and digital space since 1991. Jason's career began as a Book Publisher and Founder at CERA Research, where they partnered with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce to publish a guide for foreign investors investing in Hungary. In 1993, they worked as a Sales Representative for both MW Media and OMNIBUS COMPUTERS / COMPLETE COMPUTER SOLUTIONS, where they helped conceive and execute a transition to a publishing venture. From 1994 to 2009, Jason worked as a Senior Editor at eg3.com, an Internet portal for electronic design engineers, and as a Sales Representative for MWMEDIA. In 2009, they began their work as an Adjunct Professor at DeVry University and AcademyX, teaching Marketing Research, Marketing, Advertising/Public Relations, SEO, and SMM. In 2011, they began teaching SEO and SMM for Stanford Continuing Studies online. In 2012, they became a Corporate Trainer at Bay Area Video Coalition, teaching SEO and Social Media. Since 2009, they have been the Senior SEO/Social Media Director at JM Internet Group, a SEO/search engine optimization/Social Media/AdWords start up and training company.
Jason McDonald obtained an A.B. in Russian Studies and Economics from Harvard University from 1981 to 1985. Jason then attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1986 to 1992 where they obtained a Masters in Economics and Political Science and a Ph.D. in Political Science - Economics. Prior to that, they attended Booker T. Washington High School from 1977 to 1981. Additionally, they hold a Google AdWords certification from Google.
