Philip Angel

Philip Angel has a diverse work experience in the field of code compliance, building code, zoning, project management, and expedited services. Philip started their career as an Administrative Manager/Expeditor at Lewis Garfinkel Architects, P.C. in 2000 and worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2015, they were the President of Philip Angel Expediting, Inc., where they served as a Senior Zoning Consultant Expeditor at Municipal Expetiding, Inc. for a brief period from January 2007 to June 2007. In 2015, they joined Michael Zenreich Architect PC as a Project Manager. In 2017, they began working at JM Zoning, where they held the role of Manager of Operations and also as the NYC Building Code & Zoning Specialist. Later in the same year, they became the Director of Code Compliance at JM Zoning LLC.

Philip Angel obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Literature & Philosophy from Sarah Lawrence College between 1993 and 1997. In 2003, they attended the Institute of Design & Construction to study NYC Zoning Resolution and Architectural Plan Reading, though it is unclear if they obtained a degree from this institution. Between 2006 and 2008, Philip pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing at Brooklyn College, however, it remains incomplete. Additionally, there is a mention of another Bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College, but no specific dates or field of study are provided for this degree.
