Leslie Conway

Principal Scientist at Jnana Therapeutics

Leslie Conway has over 12 years of work experience in the scientific field. In 2019, they began working as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist I at Jnana Therapeutics. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Lead Scientist and Postdoctoral Associate at AstraZeneca-Tufts Laboratory for Basic and Translational Neuroscience. From 2008 to 2014, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they researched the organization of the microtubule cytoskeleton by molecular motors and microtubule associated proteins (MAPs). Leslie also developed new techniques in the lab, including microfluidics, microcontact printing, and emulsion droplets. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Student Intern at New England Biolabs, where they participated in the development of a new assay to evaluate activity of NEB exonuclease products and detect exonuclease contamination in other NEB products. Leslie also participated in research aimed to identify potential drug targets for filarial parasites.

Leslie Conway obtained a BS in Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2008, followed by a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2013.
