Laura E. Baquedano Santana is a Professor at Universidad Continental and Universidad Norbert Wiener, specializing in Neurosciences and the Biological and Social Bases of various courses. Additionally, Laura serves as a Level VI Researcher with RENACYT and has extensive experience as a researcher at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia’s Centro de Salud Global. Laura is the Founder and President of Chapter Perú and holds various committee positions within the Society for Neuroscience. Furthermore, Laura is involved in multiple organizations, including as a member of World Women in Neuroscience and as the founding director of Mentor Motiva. Laura is pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and has held several advanced degrees in Neuroscience, Applied Statistics, and Veterinary Sciences.

The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is the world's largest organization of scientists and physicians devoted to advancing understanding of the brain and nervous system. A membership society, SfN has grown from 500 members in 1969 to nearly 35,000 in 80+ countries today. SfN promotes scientific exchange through its annual meeting, which attracts more than 30,000 attendees from around the globe, and its scientific publications, eNeuro and The Journal of Neuroscience.
