Franz Prettenthaler

Franz Prettenthaler currently serves as the Director of the Institute for Climate, Energy and Society - LIFE at JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH since April 2002, overseeing both scientific and commercial leadership. Prior to this role, Franz Prettenthaler worked at the University of Graz from December 2000 to July 2004, holding positions as Head of Research Group and Scientist, as well as a contractual assistant. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from the University of Graz, a D.E.A. in Market and Public Policy from CY Cergy Paris Université, a Master's in Economics and Environmental System Sciences from the University of Graz, and an M Litt in Philosophy from the University of St Andrews.
