Fuzail Palnak is a skilled researcher and software engineer with extensive experience in remote sensing and computer vision. Currently working at JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Fuzail has developed a drone navigation system utilizing LiDAR data for accurate localization in tunnel environments and created tools using CNN for assessing vegetation density along motorways and rail-tracks. Fuzail's academic pursuits at Technische Universität Graz include addressing off-road autonomous driving challenges in a master's thesis and exploring object detection and tracking in varying weather conditions through a student project. Prior experience at TomTom involved significant contributions to semantic segmentation for satellite imagery, machine learning optimizations in map-making, and developing automated processes for extracting airport runways from imagery.
