Lucas Paletta is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in the field of human factors engineering and robotic systems. Currently serving as the Head of Research Team and Key Researcher at JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH since April 2000, Lucas leads the Human Factors Lab and focuses on intuitive multisensory interfaces, context and attention modeling. Previous roles include Senior Researcher at Fraunhofer IAIS, where participation in the EU-TMR network VIRGO involved cutting-edge work in cognitive robotics, and Junior Researcher at Graz University of Technology, concentrating on digital image processing and pattern recognition. Lucas's academic credentials include a PhD in Computer Science and a Diplomingenieur in Information Technology from Technische Universität Graz, alongside valuable research experience at Johns Hopkins University.
