Alborz Sakhaei

Alborz Sakhaei has worked as a Staff Flight Controls Engineer at Joby Aviation since February 2021. Prior to that, they were a Flight Dynamics and Control Laws Engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace from August 2016 to February 2021. In this role, they designed, implemented, tested, and verified new control laws for the family of Gulfstream aircraft. Alborz also handled quality evaluation in SIL/HIL simulators and conducted flight test verifications of the designed control laws. Before joining Gulfstream Aerospace, Alborz Sakhaei worked as a Flight Dynamics, Stability, and Control Engineer at Bombardier Aerospace from June 2011 to August 2016. Alborz'sresponsibilities included stability and control analysis for the Global 7500 aircraft, extensive low speed wind tunnel testing, and handling quality assessments in Global 7500 SIL/HIL simulators.

Alborz Sakhaei completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 2000 to 2004. Alborz then pursued a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Flight Dynamics and Control at Sharif University of Technology from 2004 to 2006. Later, they furthered their education by completing a second Master of Science degree at Ryerson University from 2008 to 2010. The degree was in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Microrobotics and Control.
