Andrew Van Loon is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience in flight test engineering and aircraft performance analysis. Currently serving as Lead Aircraft Performance Engineer and Flight Analyst at Joby Aviation since October 2022, Andrew previously held the role of Chief Flight Test Engineer and Manager of Flight Test Engineering at Wisk, where responsibilities included leading flight test certification for the Cora aircraft. Additional experience includes positions at Gulfstream Aerospace and Airbus Helicopters as a Senior Flight Test Engineer, along with significant tenure at the Australian Army as a Flight Test Engineer and Aerospace Engineer, managing maintenance for the S70A-9 Black Hawk. Andrew holds an MSc in Rotary Wing Performance and Flying Qualities Flight Test from the National Test Pilot School, an MBA from Curtin University, and a First Class Honours BEng in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University.
