Benny Sanchez

Electrical Systems Integration, Architecture Lead at Joby Aviation

Benny Sanchez has a diverse range of work experience. Benny started their career in 2010 as a Radio DJ at KZSC Santa Cruz, where they programmed and hosted live radio music shows. Benny also held positions in the Governing Board of KZSC, including being Hip Hop Director and a member of the Peer Review Committee.

In 2012, Benny joined UC Santa Cruz as a Student Tutor, where they tutored three upper division engineering courses. Benny'sresponsibilities included teaching concepts such as circuit analysis, filter design, and signal characterization using Fourier and Laplace transforms. Benny remained in this role until 2014.

From 2014 to 2015, Benny worked at Dallas Electronics as a Materials Specialist. Benny was in charge of the care and distribution of electronic components for in-house assemblies, as well as managing new and prototype assemblies.

Most recently, Benny joined Joby Aviation in 2015 as a Jr. Electrical Engineer. Further details about their role are not provided, but they continue to work in this position.

Benny Sanchez completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2009 to 2014. In 2014 and 2015, they attended the Indigital Institute of The Recording Arts, where they pursued a Certification of Audio Engineering with a focus on Music Production, Recording, Mixing, and Mastering.
