David Wong

David Wong is a seasoned professional in the field of flight control systems and engineering, currently serving as the Flight Control Systems Lead at Joby Aviation since 2024, following a progression from Staff Control Systems Engineer and Control Systems Engineer at the same company from 2019 to 2023. Prior to Joby Aviation, David held the position of Senior Controls Engineer at Mainspring Energy, where responsibilities included reactor state estimation and motor control, complemented by experience as a Robotics Engineer at Auro, focusing on vehicle dynamics and embedded software. David's academic background includes a Master of Applied Science in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering, both obtained from the University of Waterloo.
