Jimmy Shedden has a diverse work experience in the engineering and sales fields. Jimmy started their engineering career at Staples as a Sales Associate, providing customer service and managing inventory. Jimmy then interned at TenCate Advanced Composites as a Quality Engineering Intern, gaining experience in handling, curing, and testing composite materials. Jimmy continued their internship at TenCate as a Technical Service Engineering Intern, where they further developed their skills in composite material testing and ultrasound C-scan imaging. Jimmy later joined TenCate as a Technical Service Engineer, where they conducted extensive composite material qualification and pre-qualification screening programs for aerospace structures. Jimmy gained expertise in thermo-set resin cure mechanisms, laminate processing, and quality inspections. Jimmy then worked at Toray Advanced Composites as an Expert Services Engineer, before joining Joby Aviation as a Composites Material & Process Engineer.
Jimmy Shedden attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering.
