Julie Kanagy

Julie Kanagy has over 24 years of work experience. Julie is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Joby Aviation since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at productOps, Inc. from April 2015 to July 2020, where they developed and delivered applications in various technology stacks. Before that, they served as a Staff Engineer at VMware from January 2006 to April 2015, where they led a team of quality engineers and tested features of VMware's Virtual Infrastructure management product. Julie has also worked as a Security Consultant at AsTech Consulting Inc from July 2005 to November 2005, and as a Software Engineer at Overture Technologies Inc from November 2004 to April 2005. Julie began their career as a Software Engineer at TechTeam Global from October 2003 to September 2004 and as a Senior Systems Engineer at MadWolf Technologies LLC from May 2002 to May 2004. Julie also has experience working as an independent contractor, where they developed business applications for multiple clients such as Applied Biosystems, Sony Music, and IBM from August 1996 to May 2001.

Julie Kanagy's education history includes multiple degrees and certifications. Julie obtained a B.A. in Fine Arts with a focus on Music from the University of Maryland Baltimore County between the years 1990 and 1993. Following this, they pursued a B.M. in Music Performance from The Catholic University of America from 1993 to 1994. To further enhance their skills, Julie also obtained additional certifications. In April 2020, they completed a certification in Business Writing from Coursera. Additionally, in May 2018, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
