Nicholai Olson

Nicholai Olson is a highly experienced aerospace engineer with a robust background in flight controls, loads, and aeroelasticity. Currently serving as a Flight Research Staff Engineer at Joby Aviation and a Consultant Engineer at Loads and Dynamics Group, INC., Nicholai also owns and operates Olson Flight Sciences LLC. Previous roles include Staff Systems Engineer and Staff Loads and Dynamics Engineer at Xwing, as well as Loads and Aeroelasticity Lead and Loads and Dynamics Engineer at Joby Aviation. Nicholai's career began at Tamarack Aerospace Group, Inc., focusing on aerodynamic loads and flight dynamics for various aircraft. Academically, Nicholai holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
