Paul Imthurn

Paul Imthurn has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Paul started their career at Creative Labs in 1997 as an ASIC Design Engineer and later became the ASIC Design Manager. Paul worked there until 2007. From 2007 to 2009, Paul worked at Certicom as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer. At Research In Motion, they held the positions of Senior ASIC Design Engineer from 2009 to 2011, and then promoted to Technical Lead, a role they held until 2017.

In 2017, Paul joined Rivetz as a Staff Engineer. In this role, they wrote C code that interacted with the Global Platform API and ran in a Trusted Execution Environment. Paul'sresponsibilities included generating and securely storing private keys, as well as formatting and signing cryptocurrency transactions. Paul'stenure at Rivetz lasted until 2019.

Currently, Paul is working at Joby Aviation. Paul first joined as a Software Engineer in September 2019 and was later promoted to FPGA Team Lead in January 2020. Paul'swork experience includes both software engineering and hardware design.

Paul Imthurn received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Pacific Union College in 1983. Paul then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Physics from San Diego State University in 1993.
