Paul Thompson

Paul Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Paul currently works at Joby Aviation as a Staff Manufacturing Engineer and previously held the position of Senior Manufacturing Engineer. Prior to their current role, Paul worked at Electroimpact for a significant duration, where they held various positions such as Senior Mechanical Engineering Lead, Senior Product Manager, Automated Machine Designer, and Senior Mechanical Engineer. Paul was also employed at Advanced Integration Technology as a Project Engineer and at Reynolds Corporation and Reynolds Cooperation as a Project Engineer in different periods. In total, Paul has extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, machine design, tooling engineering, and project management.

Paul Thompson completed their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. From 1988 to 1989, they attended Highline College for a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Paul then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their degrees, Paul Thompson obtained the EIT: Fundamentals of Engineering certification from the Montana State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in October 1993. Recently, in February 2021, they achieved the Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC).
