Ryan Naru

Ryan Naru is an experienced aviation policy and regulatory affairs professional, currently serving as the Aviation Policy and Regulatory Affairs Lead at Joby Aviation since January 2021. In this role, Ryan focuses on aviation safety, rulemaking, and policy development related to electric aircraft and Advanced Air Mobility. Prior to this position, Ryan worked at Uber from March 2019 to January 2021 as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, handling regulatory interpretation and advocacy concerning eVTOL airworthiness, UAM infrastructure design, operational requirements, and flight crew licensure. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Binghamton University and an Associate of Science in Engineering Science from SUNY Orange, along with studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
