Simon Black

Simon Black has a strong background in software verification and quality assurance. Simon started their career at Nokia in 2000 as a QA Engineer, where they worked until 2006. Following that, they joined Packeteer as an SQA Engineer and worked there until 2008. Simon then moved on to Validus Medical Systems, where they worked as a Software QA Engineer from 2008 to 2011. In 2011, they joined Imprivata as a Senior QA Engineer, where they stayed until 2017. Currently, Simon is working at Joby Aviation as a Software Verification Lead, a position they have held since 2017.

Simon Black obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from UCLA, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Elementary Particle Physics at UCSC, completing their education there from 1992 to 1995.
