Mike Podgorski has extensive experience in the technology and health sectors, currently serving as a Database Administrator and Software Developer at The Jockey Club since February 2001. Prior to this role, Mike Podgorski worked as a Health Physicist at the University of Cincinnati from January 1994 to February 2001. Mike Podgorski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati, earned between 1995 and 2000.

The Jockey Club, founded in 1894 and dedicated to the improvement of Thoroughbred breeding and racing, is the breed registry for North American Thoroughbreds.
