Dave Pomerantz

Dave Pomerantz has worked for three companies throughout their career. In 2019, they began working for Johanson Technology, Inc. as an Accounting Manager. In 2018, they joined blk International & BANU Beverages as a Controller, where they achieved a 50% reduction in transaction processing time with improved accuracy and clearer, more concise reporting, and increased gross margins by renegotiating compensation structure for several hundred outside sales personnel. Dave also redesigned the Chart of Accounts and Item List architecture to streamline data entry and reporting. From 2004-2018, Dave worked for Advantek Pet as Chief Financial Officer and Controller. As Chief Financial Officer, they trimmed 40% from expenses without reducing headcount during financial downturn, and increased gross margins by 20% through improved COGS visibility. Dave also designed an accurate cost accounting methodology to allocate materials, labor, freight, duty, and warehousing expenses. As Controller, they saved 30% on Property, Casualty, D&O, Auto, Health, Life, & Employee Assistance insurance through negotiation and management of renewals and enrollments. Dave also created daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and dashboards, and presented them to the CEO. Additionally, they designed and managed month-end close and account reconciliation processes.

Dave Pomerantz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Managerial Economics from UC Santa Barbara. Dave also has a certification in Learning Microsoft Dynamics GP (2015) from LinkedIn, which they obtained in May 2019.
