Lisa Borland

Lisa Borland serves as the Vice President of Data Science and Vice President of Forecasting at John Burns Research and Consulting since March 2024. An Adjunct Lecturer at Stanford University since April 2014, Lisa has held significant roles in various organizations, including Manager of Credit Science at Brex, Senior Economist Manager at Zillow, and Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Cerebellum Capital, Inc, where roles included Director of Research and Lead Scientist. Previous experiences encompass positions like Manager of Research at Theorem LP, Co-Portfolio Manager at T2AM, and Managing Director of Execution Services at Integral Development Corp. Lisa's career began with expertise as Head of Derivatives Research at Evnine and Associates and Director of Research and Trading at Cogence Capital. Academically, Lisa holds a Dr. rer. nat. in Physics from the University of Stuttgart and has received the UC Presidents Postdoctoral Award at the University of California, Berkeley, with additional studies at the Max Planck Institute for Physics and Freie Universität Berlin.
