Shelly Chen

Shelly Chen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in real estate research and consulting. Currently serving as a Research Analyst and Senior Consultant at John Burns Research and Consulting since November 2019, Shelly previously held the position of EVS Real Estate Associate at KPMG US from July 2018 to October 2019, and worked as a Valuation & Advisory Intern at Cushman & Wakefield from June 2017 to July 2018. Additionally, Shelly demonstrated leadership as Executive Director and President of the Real Estate Society at San Diego State University from April 2016 to May 2018. Notably, Shelly captained the winning team of the 2018 NAIOP University Challenge and was a team member in the 2017 competition, where the teams developed a mixed-use redevelopment proposal for the Downtown San Diego courthouse site. Shelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Real Estate from San Diego State University, earned in 2018.
