Darrell Ayers

Darrell Ayers serves as the Vice President of Education and Jazz at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a position held since 1987, overseeing the planning, management, and operation of the Education Division and Jazz Programming, with a combined budget nearing $20 million and a team of 45 full-time staff. Previous experience includes various roles in education administration and national partnerships, as well as serving as Branch Manager for Credithrift Mortgage and Loan from 1980 to 1985, managing multiple branch offices across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Darrell Ayers holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Public Relations from Georgia Southern University.
